Welcome to Beulah House, a modern oasis set within a private field surrounded by tall pines. This sprawling 9.5 acre property is a great place for families of all ages and generations to gather and make special memories.
The 2,400 sq. ft Quonset Hut is the perfect blend of quirky and comfort. A roomy open concept living area features 18-foot barrelled pine ceilings and a wall of windows for lots of natural light and to take in the sheltering view. The generous gourmet kitchen with its stylish yellow dual fuel range and blue cabinets makes meal prep both easy and fun while the gas fireplace in the living room provides a perfect spot to cosy up at the end of the day. Two large ground floor bedrooms and bathrooms provide easy access to creature comforts and an open loft area upstairs provides additional sleeping with the added convenience of a powder room.
The fun extends outdoors onto a large wraparound deck complete with multiple entertaining areas and the glamour of a gas fire table. Soak in the rays or seek shade under the large sun umbrella and pergola complete with patio lights. The large field is perfect for group games, picnics and starry nights. And just for good measure, there is a cedar sauna just off the Master bedroom too.

Pat grew up in Vancouver and moved to Hornby in 2010 to follow his husband Michael's dream to live on a Gulf Island, echoing the earlier footsteps of Michael's English grandmother who courageously bought sight-unseen a small family cottage in the Lake of the Woods in Western Ontario ,where she raised her two kids. Michael spent childhood summers running barefoot outdoors, swimming and canoeing, forging an indelible connection to the peace and joy Nature brings.
After managing their own home rental on Hornby for 7 years, a couple of friends asked them to take care of their homes too. As is the way with islands, word quickly spread and in a couple of years, My Hornby Stay was born. Since then they have happily cared for some special island homes and now enjoy the great fortune of hosting many wonderful families who return to Hornby each year.
"We are grateful everyday for this chance to live surrounded by the quiet embrace of Nature and within this tight-knit community. We've made good friends and found great peace. And it indulges our love for making a house into a home."
