Clad in warm yellow cedar, this spacious home perfectly compliments its idyllic setting. Expansive windows and skylights invite both the views and sunlight into the large open concept living area. The modern, fully stocked kitchen features a large island and every convenience to make light work of meals to enjoy with family and friends at the generous dining table seating 10-12. Or dine al fresco on one of the two sun-drenched patio decks. Wind down the day beside the cosy gas fireplace in the large living room with its treasure-trove of books, board games, puzzles and tv with dvd player.
The luxury extends to the three bedrooms. The ground floor guest room has a queen bed with ensuite and patio doors opening to the backyard. Upstairs the master suite features a king bed with ensuite and opens to the roof top deck with its glorious beach and sunset views. There is also a kids bedroom with two twin beds upstairs.
With the convenience of Helliwell Bluffs an easy walk away and the beach just out the front door, Emery’s Place maybe heaven on Hornby.

Notes
Between Summer Solstice to Labour Day the minimum stay is 1 week.
During May, early June and September shoulder season the minimum stay is 3 nights. Cleaning fees are additional for any stays under 7 nights.
Cancellation Policy:
- If the Guest cancels more than 60 days prior to the arrival date, all monies paid are refundable only if and when the same dates are rebooked.
- If the Guest cancels 60 days or less prior to the arrival date, all monies collected are non-refundable.
- All cancellations are subject to an administration fee of $150.

About host
Pat grew up in Vancouver and moved to Hornby in 2010 to follow his husband Michael's dream to live on a Gulf Island, echoing the earlier footsteps of Michael's English grandmother who courageously bought a small rustic cottage sight-unseen in the Lake of the Woods in Western Ontario ,where she shared her love for nature with her two kids. Michael spent childhood summers swimming, canoeing, and running barefoot outdoors, forging an indelible connection to the peace and joy Nature brings.
After managing their own home rental on Hornby for 7 years, a couple of friends asked them to take care of their home too. As is the way with islands, word spread quickly and within a couple of years, My Hornby Stay was born. Since then they have happily cared for some special island homes and now enjoy the great pleasure of hosting the wonderful families who return to Hornby each year.
