Welcome to the dreamland of Orchard House, a luxurious storybook home set on 3 acres of sprawling gardens with spectacular water views of Lambert Channel and neighbouring Denman and Vancouver Islands.
Tastefully remodelled and updated, this elegant home comfortably hosts 8 people. The large gourmet kitchen has every imaginable convenience and an ample dining table offers room for all. The generous living room provides panoramic views of the water and mountains savoured on deep, oversized furniture. Three ensuite bedrooms feature opulent king beds along with more scenic views. Of course, the great outdoors call to be enjoyed under the glass-roofed veranda or on the cliffside glass balcony made comfortable with ample wood furniture.
Further afield you’ll find vibrant gardens and the gazebo facing the tranquil water-falling lotus ponds, oasis to hummingbirds, butterflies and those lucky enough to snag a lounger. The large lawn provides a great spot for family games or picnic blankets to gaze up at the stars. Nearby Phipps Point is ideal to launch kayaks and paddle boards and ensures you always have front-row seats for sunset each and every night. And if you’re especially lucky, you’ll catch passing orcas and seals as they swim along Lambert Channel heading north up the Georgia Strait.

A Cleaning Fee of $360 applies to all stays shorter than 7 nights.
Cancellation Policy:
- If the Guest cancels more than 60 days prior to the arrival date, all monies paid are refundable only if and when the same dates are rebooked.
- If the Guest cancels 60 days or less prior to the arrival date, all monies collected are non-refundable.
- All cancellations are subject to an administration fee of $150.

About host
Pat grew up in Vancouver and moved to Hornby in 2010 to follow his husband Michael's dream to live on a Gulf Island, echoing the earlier footsteps of Michael's English grandmother who courageously bought a small rustic cottage sight-unseen in the Lake of the Woods in Western Ontario ,where she shared her love for nature with her two kids. Michael spent childhood summers swimming, canoeing, and running barefoot outdoors, forging an indelible connection to the peace and joy Nature brings.
After managing their own home rental on Hornby for 7 years, a couple of friends asked them to take care of their home too. As is the way with islands, word spread quickly and within a couple of years, My Hornby Stay was born. Since then they have happily cared for some special island homes and now enjoy the great pleasure of hosting the wonderful families who return to Hornby each year.
