An easy 3-minute stroll to the beach means you are never far from your next swim.
Styled in clean modern charm, the white interiors offer an equal mix of calm and comfort. The living room’s cathedral ceilings and stone fireplace is made intimate by comfortable furniture. The spacious and well stocked gourmet kitchen is made quaint by a farmhouse sink and glass-fronted cabinets. Each of the 3 bedrooms boasts new comfortable mattresses in a variety of sizes along with views so sensational as to make you want to stay in bed. And the convenience of 3 separate bathrooms means no one need to wait again while on your precious vacation. Enjoy family meals gathered around the large dining table or al fresco on the verandah under the warmth of outdoor heaters. French doors running the length of the house open onto a large sunny fenced yard so you can join in on the fun whether indoors or out. Play croquet or badminton on the large grass lawn while your family and friends cheer on from the comfort of lawn furniture.
Nearby Sandpiper Meadow is home to yoga classes and a large open field. The rocky beach below is an explorer’s paradise and provides some of the warmest waters around Hornby for swimming away endless summer days or marvelling at the magic of phosphorescence at night. Sweeping views to Helliwell cliffs and the mountains on the mainland provide a magnificent backdrop to this quiet but well-loved beach. Cancellation Policy:
- If the Guest cancels more than 60 days prior to the arrival date, all monies paid are refundable only if and when the same dates are rebooked.
- If the Guest cancels 60 days or less prior to the arrival date, all monies collected are non-refundable.
- All cancellations are subject to an administration fee of $150.

About host
Pat grew up in Vancouver and moved to Hornby in 2010 to follow his husband Michael's dream to live on a Gulf Island, echoing the earlier footsteps of Michael's English grandmother who courageously bought a small rustic cottage sight-unseen in the Lake of the Woods in Western Ontario ,where she shared her love for nature with her two kids. Michael spent childhood summers swimming, canoeing, and running barefoot outdoors, forging an indelible connection to the peace and joy Nature brings.
After managing their own home rental on Hornby for 7 years, a couple of friends asked them to take care of their home too. As is the way with islands, word spread quickly and within a couple of years, My Hornby Stay was born. Since then they have happily cared for some special island homes and now enjoy the great pleasure of hosting the wonderful families who return to Hornby each year.
